Day 10 - Hayter's Gap, VA to Breaks Interstate Park, VA/KY - 45 mi

Everyone was excited for a shorter ride today - we broke out of the church around 8 am after a great night of sleep indoors. The best part about staying at churches (if they allow you indoors) is the fact that they typically have a kitchen which makes cooking faster and a bit more gourmet. Last night I enjoyed some spaghetti with salmon on top and a large pot of mashed potatoes with beanies and weanies mixed in (baked beans and hot dogs mixed together).

Our momentum carried us through the entire day which included 4 pretty steep climbs spread out across the day. A $5 footlong sub from Subway was good fuel for lunch prior to arriving at the beautiful Breaks Interstate Park dubbed the "Grand Canyon of the South." The views here are incredible and it reminds me a lot of West Virginia and specifically the area where you can raft the Gauley or the New River.

We are having an ice cream party at the park's lodge courtesy of the local MS Society!

For more viewing pleasure check out the second episode of our trip on the BUS4Ms Youtube site. Be sure to check back there periodically as there should be a new video uploaded each week.

Even the internet at the lodge is slow!!
