First on the schedule was to complete some yard work for a patient who has MS. We were vanned over to her house by Don in the BUS4MS van and all worked in her yard for about 2 hours, totally remaking how the house/yard looked. It was a great thing to do and everyone worked hard with great enthusiasm!
Following the service work, we all went back to Seth Milam's house for a pool party and bbq. There was a full spread of food including pork loin, all kinds of side salads, fruit salads, drinks, and dessert. The pool was definitely crowded as all the BUS4MS riders were swimming along with friends and family of all the Carbondale crew.
Other things that got accomplished today:
- paying a Bank of America credit card bill online
- declining the new yearly fee for my Capital One credit card and in turn, by declining the fee, having my card canceled by Capital One (good thing I recently got a different, better card!)
- having a lot of my laundry washed
- eating a lot of tonight's lasagna dinner and hopefully going to hit up the local Wal-Mart to restock on some food
