Day 42 - Telluride, CO to Delores, CO - 70 mi

This will most likely be a pretty short blog entry due to some super slow internet in the middle of nowhere CO. After a delightful rest day in Telluride, we had to hit the road again. To get back on route, the team took the free Gondola I mentioned yesterday up and over the mountain to avoid 800-1000 ft of climbing.

The beginning of our day was highlighted with a climb to the second highest biking elevation on the trip - Lizard Head Pass which is around 10,200 ft. This was a much easier task than the last climb to 11,000 ft as we were already most of the way there and it was first thing in the morning rather than in the afternoon. Following the climb, we had earned another fairly sweet decent and from that point on today we were biking downhill for the next 50 ish miles.

The highlight of the day today was our delicious lunch at the Argentine Grille in Rico, CO. Rico is a very small town, but they had a wicked delicious lunch menu that was only around $8 for the pasta special that I consumed. After that, most of the team cruised through a scenic ride that took us to the brink of the desert (as we enter Utah tomorrow).
